Tuesday Tell All

Today's topic: What is your favorite Christmas tune and why? Mine is:

Silent Night
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
'Round yon virgin mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heav'nly hosts sing Alleluia;
Christ the Saviour is born
Christ the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love's pure light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth

If you click on the name above it will take you to Wikipedia, which has an interesting article telling about the song and it's history. I think this song is beautiful and encompasses everything Christmas....
I love Santa, and buying presents and get all wrapped up in that aspect of Christmas also, but then I hear this song, and it brings me back to why we have a CHRISTmas.

Here is YouTube video of a Sinead O'Connor version....very pretty. If anyone would like to let me know how to get a YouTube video to post onto my posts that would also be a help! Thank you in advance ;)

This is a loved Christmas Song, but I also have daily ones, depending on the mood and pace of the day.

Today? "come on ring those bells, light the Christmas tree, Jesus is the King, born for you and me . . ."

Good Day!

I also LOVE silent night!

the way you get it in your blog is when you go to you tube--to the right it will say URL or embed, with html code--just copy the "embed" code and paste into your post! and it will pop up! Does that make sense? I am talking and typing at the same time! Email me if you have questions!

I love that song too BG!

Mrs de Miranda has it right. The only thing I would add is when you put it in your post, change it to Edit HTML instead of Compose. You can switch it back after you add it. It will come up jarbled if you put it in the compose. Also I learned a little trick. While you are in the Edit HTML and you load that embed code, I change the width from 435 to 400. You see it in 2 places. Change both of them to 400 because it will fit perfect on your blog. If you leave it at 435 it will be cut off on the right a little bit.

Well, it looks like you've got a lot of instructions to get the YouTube video going on your blog. Can't wait to see what you pick. I'm off to watch Sinead O'Connor right now. I've always loved Silver & Gold from the old Rudolph show just because my Dad used to sing it with me when I was a kid.
I'm seeing a beautiful Nativity set below... Off to take a look.
