 Like most people, the thought of being a vampire has crossed your mind. But you're not sure if you'd do it, even if you could. Halloween is uniquely American, isn't it?? New Year's Eve in Ecuador always reminded me of Halloween, with the costumes and the begging for treats or money. But it was a bit darker -- and the adults, not kids were doing the "Trick or Treating".
Doesn't the Embassy have a Halloween party for Americans there?? or are those much more exclusive these days? I haven't lived abroad in . . . hmmm... more than a quarter century. Yikes! That makes me sound old!!!
