Countdown

Today (Thursday) is the last day of school...half a day ending with water balloon tossing and ice cream.
We leave tomorrow morning on our journey to our house.

It will take us 4 airports and planes, a total of almost 31 hours, plus one rental car and 3 hour drive....

I can't wait!

See you all on the other side of the world.

But before I leave, check out these photos of my Amaryllis and other plants, and a few scenes from Atyrau:

I was wondering where you've been.

Travel safe and see you on this side of the Atlantic ; )

Such interesting photos! The blue abode has such a simple charm about it. The children seem so little and innocent. I like the improvised fence of salvaged/recycled old plywood and lumber...reminds me of such scenes in the rural southwest...a creative product of poverty, perhaps. Your flowers look happy and healthy..who will water them while you are gone?
I know you can hardly wait to be in the keys and relaxing with that ocean view!!

That second to last pic looks like some of the houses we have over here too. Very poor people.
Who will take care of you amaryllis while your away. Very pretty.

I like the pictures. Nice to see a glimpse of your world!

I hope you will have safe traveling, and no unexpected lengthy delays.

Sure beats ice cream balloons and water :-)
Great images of a place I'll probably never get to see. Those little kids are so cute. That really is a great shot!
