Asian Winter Olympics

They will be played from January 30th- Feb 6th.
They are being held this year here in Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan.
They have most of the usual winter sports, but one that I didn't know. It is called Bandy, which seems to be a version of hockey only played with a ball in place of a puck.
Click on the links above if you are interested in finding out more about the games or bandy.

As a kid in the midwest, I recall in the summers playing a kind of hockey in the street. We were on roller skates and using either a ball, or a tin can as a puck.

Hmmmm, living most my life in South Georgia, any sport with ice would be mostly new (I know of hockey - strictly from tv and movies) But wait, what is that olympic game with the broom and a weighty thing? I have seen that, now to check out your link... :)
