My hairdresser.....
hhmmm, how to describe him. Quite eccentric, a bit neurotic, incredibly talkative..
but generally does my hair very well and as I like it.
Quite a few people I know now go to him on the recommendation of myself and Gabriela.
Gabriela knew about him first, and it has been 2 years of hair cuts and colorings.
It still amazes me that I can be his only client, minus a girl who got a blow dry while I was waiting for one of my colors to set, and have it take 4 1/2 hours.
Yes, you read that right...4 1/2 hours. and to think, that is without
"the treatment", which usually costs way too much and has to stay on your hair for another 20-30 minutes!!
Why do I do this and stick with this guy...
well, for one, he speaks English. Even though I can speak enough Portuguese, and even in Venezuela, where my Spanish is very good, I just like to explain what I want with my hair in English. I go in there and he does basically the same thing every time, with a tweak here or there, a bit of a color change...
He does really nice color, though this time, I added highlights, and they are a little too blond for me. But my motto has always been, it's just hair, you can change it, grow it, cut it, etc..
So that was the better half of my Sunday...
oh yea, see he doesn't work on Mondays, and the other days of the week he comes it 2!
Doesn't work on this last week of running around, packing, end of school this and that....
5 days and counting :)

i know the feeling of counting and waiting...
i'm lucky i don't have any hassle about my hair...i do it myself! for years now... easy, quick and cheap! :)
So, where is the picture of your new "do"?! : )
I hear ya. I wouldn't switch to anyone else, but man, is he slow.
Did he insist on chatting in Portugese to you? He did to me this time and it was weird. Finally, I would only reply in English and he switched over. To much work.
And, your hair looks lovely-not too blond at all!
And I thought that only my hairdresser was slow.....I went to get my highlight retouched last Friday and it took 3,5 hours to finish. It was driving me crazy.
In the end the results are perfect, redish highlights... but my neck was really sore.....

It was good to catch up today...we've had computer trouble. But oh so sad to read about the loss your communtity has felt. So sorry.
My hairdresser is super tiny. She has to stand on a little bench to do my hair. She is also slow, but excellent. I have to make an appointment when I am there for the next time because she has a two month waiting time. If I forget, I'm in trouble!
Have a great day.
I can't even imagine a 4 1/2 hour haircut. Hopefully he massaged your scalp for a good long time (my favorite part of getting a cut) when he washed your hair! I hate to say it, but if the results are great, it's probably worth the pain- great stylists are so hard to find!
I'm like Bi, I do it myself.
4 1/2 hours, I couldn't stand it :D
But I don't colour mine and only cut the ends.
I did Henna in Kuwait and liked it, but most of the Henna you get here is chemical *shakes head*.
Buenos dias Ms water girl! ;) I could no belived when I read that you enjoy the underwater world more than anything... wow... I'm so afraid of large bodies of water, and there you are, enjoying the misteries of the profundidades... hehehe! I did a post a while a go about the 4 elements, and I'm definetely "earth".... now I now what you are... how cool is that!
Bueno, te dejo un abrazo enorme y que tengas un feliz dia
