I like change!

I am at it again...changing the blog!
I much prefer "The Cutest Blog on the Block" because you do not lose any of your sidebar elements!!!
I guess this one was a little less complicated because it worked the first time.

Thanksgiving to me is one of THE BEST American Holidays. We are rarely at home for it, but I have brought my traditions with me. We try to have a Thanksgiving dinner every year and invite our closest friends to share in this intimate holiday. They are our family away from home, so it only seems fitting to share this holiday with them.
We make the turkey, stuffing and potato dumplings and then they all bring the rest.

This year it will be on the 22nd of November. We do not hold it on Thanksgiving Day because all of our husbands have to work a normal day and still go to work on Friday. This year the children have off school, but last year they didn't. So, we celebrate on a Saturday where everyone can come early and enjoy the day together.

I will post pictures whenever I have them.

Have a great week...and see you in blogland!

Hi BG, I think Thanksgiving is my favorite of holidays too because there is no expectations...just good food and family and a fun day together.

Ah, Yes. The accommodations of living abroad. We did much the same in Ecuador. I really do enjoy Thanksgiving! And this year Fall is beautiful...and WARM!!
So was Mr. Rogers literally in your Neighborhood?? I know he was from PA. We would see him from time to time, but could only get reception at my Grandmother's house.

Well, that sounds just lovely and you've made me hungry too!

The important thing is to celebrate when everyone can get together. Saturday sounds just right. Have lots of fun and I'll look forward to seeing the photos in a few weeks time!

I love thanksgiving too. It is all about saying thanks to the people in our lives. Yummy! The potato dumplings sound great. Are you going to post the recipe?

I love this Thanksgiving template! We won't be with relatives this Thanksgiving or Christmas, it will be just our little family. I was really excited about it, till my parents and brother and sister-in-law came for a visit. I'm missing them and missing Iowa all over again.
