A great read..

Just wanted to pop on here and give you all an option of a book that I truly enjoyed.
It is called "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Ann Barrows

This book made me feel like I was reading the personal letters of a group of people.  It is told that way...through letters.  It is set right after the Second World War in England.
I do not want to give too much up, but I really enjoyed it.  I hope you do too!

BG I read this last year and it was truly one of my absolute favorites!!! When it ended I was SO sad! I wanted more! I want to look up the author and see if she wrote anything else! Glad you enjoyed it as much as me! :) Everyone that has read it seems to like it!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!!!

Interesting way to tell a story. I found a few letters once that a girl had written to her boy friend who was serving in Vietnam. It was quite touching. In one she had enclosed a Polaroid photo of herself in a bikini, posing in front of his car. To this day, I wonder what became of him or her. : ) : ( ?

Thanks for the tip. I am looking for a new book - I don´t have a book club, but I make a point to read at least one book a month.

Have you read Resistência from Agnès Humbert? It is the history of a French woman who was one of the leaders of the French "Resistence" against Hi*tler. It is perfect.
